Production Begins!

Hello Magic Firm friends. We have exciting news!
After a busy week in Vegas for Magic Live it’s great to report that the campaign funds have been received and that our contract for Bicycle Insignia Back has been submitted at US Playing Card.
This means that the decks will now begin production and we should be seeing the finished decks in about 8 weeks give or take.
About 85% of you have completed your BackerKit surveys. If you haven’t done your survey yet, please do so right away. We can’t send out your decks without your survey info.
If you haven’t gotten your survey link, need to have it resent, or just aren’t sure, send us a message and we will get it sorted out.
This first campaign of ours has been a wild and exciting ride. Thanks to everybody for your support and belief in the project.

Done. Over. Finito. The Bicycle Insignia campaign has come to a close. Thanks to all 414 of you, we have raised $18,413 over the past 30 days to bring these awesome decks to life. This has just been phase one of the process. Now it's on to phase two.
Most of you have had your credit cards charged, or will be seeing it charged shortly. In a few cases, there may be an error with your payment method. In those cases you will get an email from Kickstarter asking you to log in and fix your payment method. You have exactly SEVEN DAYS to fix that, otherwise you will be dropped as a backer, and nobody wants that.
After the payment grace period, Kickstarter will send funds to our bank account within another 7 to 10 days. Then we can get production rolling with US Playing Card. As you know, we have already created and approved the proofs with them, so the cards are ready to begin the production process the moment we send payment over. As of now we expect to begin shipping decks out in early November.
We will be sending out surveys to everyone shortly after the payment grace period. We will be using a service called BackerKit to send out everyone's survey. These surveys are SUPER IMPORTANT. They not only let you tell us what breakdown of black decks and white decks you want, but they also let you give us your address. If you don't complete your survey, we can't ship your decks.
We will send out updates here on Kickstarter when surveys are being sent out, so that you know when to expect them. It will be important to check your spam folder if you don't see the survey in your inbox.

10 days left! We've continued to grow every day and the support for the Bicycle Insignia decks has been amazing. We are nearly 250% funded and have almost 400 backers on board. You've officially turned this from a train to a locomotive to the time machine from Back to the Future 3.
A few days ago on the 4th of July, we had the grand opening for J&B Magic Shop. Hundreds of people showed up to support the shop. We had a great day, and I'd like to invite you all to stop by if you're ever in the New Albany area (just 10 mins from downtown Louisville, KY). We'll be opening up the theater space on August 23rd and are very excited to be hosting live magic shows.

We also wanted to make sure you know about the beautiful Conjurer Playing Card campaign by Arcadia Playing Cards. This is a fully custom deck based on imagery of magicians and classic magic effects. It's right up our alley!
They have a little more than a week left to go on their campaign and are nearly to their funding goal. They're printing the cards with Cartamundi and the tuck boxes with Clove St Press. This will be a gorgeous set of cards, so please go show them some love.
The amount of support and positive comments we've gotten about the Bicycle Insignia cards and the new magic shop make all of the long hours absolutely worthwhile. Thank you all.

220% and J&B opens this Thursday!

We are 220% funded with 15 days left to go and less than $3,500 away from unlocking the red Bicycle Insignia Back Playing Cards.
As many of you know for the last 5 years I’ve been dreaming of creating a space where the art of closeup magic could grow. A magic shop, a small intimate theater, and a training facility for both professional and amateur magicians.
2 months ago we signed a lease on a building at 129 East Spring St in New Albany, IN located only 10 minutes from downtown Louisville, KY.
We have been working day and night to make this space feel special and amazing. The outpouring of support from not only magicians but also from the local community has been incredible. From those of you that supported our Indiegogo campaign to those that showed up to paint, take out trash, sweep floors, and swing hammers, and of course those of you who have backed the Insignia campaign. I had no idea when I started this project that I wasn’t just building my dream but also building many other peoples.
Now I sit here in this beautiful space and can only imagine the things we can make possible when we work towards the same goal.
J&B Magic Shop will be opening on July 4th please stop by to say hi, see some magic, and maybe spend a little money. Maybe tag a friend or share our page.
We will also be opening the closeup theater on August 22 with our grand opening and first show as long as things go as planned. We will let you know as soon as that date is confirmed. We couldn’t have started this journey without you and wouldn’t want to be on it without you.
